This 30-year-old client traveled from the Dominican Republic to Ahead Ink in New Jersey with a very specific vision for his Scalp Micropigmentation treatment.
Being relatively young, he wanted a hairline that would give him a strong, youthful frame around his face. However, he was equally clear about what he didn’t want—a hard, perfectly straight, edge-up style hairline.
The challenge was finding the right balance.
A more aggressive hairline can still look natural when the design, density, and impressions are approached correctly.
For this client, we created a hairline that sat in a more youthful position while maintaining a soft, slightly irregular leading edge. Rather than drawing a perfectly straight line across his forehead, we incorporated subtle variations and natural imperfections to prevent the treatment from appearing overly sharp or tattooed.
Procedure Details
The result was a hairline that provided the youthful appearance he wanted while still looking believable up close. With a Shaved Look SMP procedure, the hairline can completely change the way the treatment is perceived. Too conservative for a younger client and the result may not provide the transformation he wants. Too sharp or perfectly symmetrical and it can immediately look unnatural.
