Patient Case Study - Overview

This client presented with advanced Norwood-level hair loss and came to the studio with a clear vision for his desired hairline. Before his appointment he had used ChatGPT to help create an initial concept for the shape and design of his hairline.

Rather than simply reproducing the concept, we used it as a starting point and refined the design to better complement his features and create a more natural result.

The original concept had a defined structure, but our goal was to make it feel more organic and age-appropriate. We refined the shape into a rounded, soft, and subtly diffused hairline, avoiding an overly sharp or artificial appearance.

This approach allowed the finished SMP to transition naturally into the surrounding scalp while maintaining the overall character of the client’s original idea.

Procedure Details

One of the primary considerations with this client was his fair and reactive skin type. With lighter skin, pigment placement and density need to be approached carefully to ensure the result develops gradually and remains balanced.

The Results

Instead of trying to achieve the final density in a single appointment, we followed our standard three-session protocol, with several weeks between sessions. This gave us the opportunity to assess how his skin responded, allow the previous work to settle, and progressively build density.
By taking a gradual, controlled approach, we were able to create a soft, natural-looking SMP result with the density and definition appropriate for his level of hair loss.
The finished hairline maintained the concept he originally envisioned while incorporating professional refinements that made it softer, more rounded, and more diffuse.
