What is Scalp Micropigmentation?
Scalp Micropigmentation (aka S.M.P., and sometimes referred
to as a “hair tattoo”) is a proven hair loss replication procedure
that was created to mimic the look of shaved hair stubble by
injecting thousands of microdots. It is performed using
specialized equipment, pigment, and needles. A highly skilled
SMP technician will design a natural-looking hairline and then
bring it to life using learned techniques. The technician can
also provide full density to other areas of the scalp and blend
the sides and back to eliminate the appearance of a defined
Norwood pattern.

Shaved Look
This is undoubtedly Ahead Ink’s most popular procedure and
the one Head Technician Erik Cavagnuolo has become known
for. The shaved head look became popular in the late 1990s thanks to famous Hollywood actors and professional athletes
who were looking for an alternative hair loss solution to hair transplants, combovers, pharmaceutical treatments like
Finasteride (Propecia) and Minoxidil (Romaine), hair systems, and cosmetic coverup products such as Toppik Hair Building Fibers. Clients who opt for this procedure are thrilled to see themselves with the hairline they may have lost years ago. The restored hair line will take years off, and really helps to frame your face. Scar Camouflage
We all make mistakes. Unfortunately when it comes to getting a hair transplant, it’s in the form of permanent scarring. (The two current forms of follicle extraction, strip and F.U.E. (follicular unit extraction), both cause visible scarring.)
